VisionXtreme designs and manufactures a wide and versatile range of Lightheads based on Light Emitting Diode (LED) for various vision applications.

The Lightheads provide various types of illuminations such as direct light, diffused light, on-axis light, low angle light, back light, etc. The Lightheads operate either with a constant voltage to single LED segment or with a Programmable Controller controlling the intensity of multiple LED segments. The Lightheads for segment control can have 1 up to 64 LED segments and each segment may use 1 to 8 LEDs. By using these lightheads with a Programmable Controller, customer is able to control each segment separately, change the light distribution "on the fly" or fine-adjust the light distribution to enhance contrast to a specific feature of the object under inspection (for example, to highlight a small defect on the rough surface of the object).

The Omni-series range of the Lightheads provides the most possible variations in light distribution and it is used accordingly in a wide range of VisionXtreme's vision solutions. Customised Lightheads are also available to meet customers' specific lighting requirements.
